A new 2 storey elementary school built on a 6.0 acre site located in North Ajax area, with a parkette directly across the street. The school design incorporates a 4 classroom childcare, 4 kindergarten classrooms, 2 special Ed classrooms, and 4 junior classrooms on the ground floor, along with a gymnasium with an adjacent stage, and administrative offices.
The second floor consists of a Learning Commons area, a staff room, 12 senior classrooms, including an instrumental music classroom, an environmental classroom, and art classroom.
The overall building GFA is approximately 60,000 square feet.
The proposed school site originally started in the City of Pickering, but due to the City’s lack of action, the Board decided to change sites at the very last minute. The Town of Ajax was extremely helpful in getting the approval process approved, which enabled the overall team to get the school completed for the planned 2025 opening.
